Clouds Anyone?

Hi There,

Not sure if your a cloud junkie but i am......i joined the group Cloud Junkie on Flickr and have probably uploaded more than most people already. Just love the way they look, if i see a cloud that looks cool ill get my camera straight away and take some snaps somehow i dont think that will ever change.

Here are some pics of....you guessed it clouds that i saw when i was driving home from doing some xmas shopping, as soon as i saw them the speed in which i was driving speed up for some reason. I was home in no time and started to shoot them, im glad i got the shots i think they look awesome, hope you like.

Mercedes Benz C180 Revived!

Hi All,

Was going through my library of images and came across some of these old images i took with a friends camera. Took these just before i got my own camera and was borrowing a friends every now and then. It was a Canon 1D, the first of the series it had a 16-35 f2.8L on it. Quite a heavy thing to lug around but was very durable, i dont think you could actually break that thing it was that strong.
I got used to the layout of the buttons and was one of the main reason i went with the Canon 40D in the end, i think if i hadnt used that camera for a while i could have gone Nikon in the end and maybe got a D200 or D80....not that that is a bad thing or course.
Played around with the images in Lightroom 2.0 made some adjustments to it to make them seem a little more moody.
The pics were taken in the underground carpark of the old building i used to work in, i thought it was a pretty cool place to have taken the pictures.....the merc just blends in.
The car belongs to a friend from work, its a Mercedes Benz C180 not the best merc around but in the end it is a merc after all i suppose.

Lightroom 2

Hi All,

I recently started using Lightroom 2, in my opinion after using Aperture which is possibly the closest program to Lightroom.....lightroom comes through just that little bit better. You have a great interface that looks very slick and inviting. Im hooked as you might tell, the other cool thing is there are plenty of free presets available out there from cool B&W settings to crazy adjustments to make it look like it came out of the movie 300.

I highly recommend giving it ago to see what you think, you can organise all your pictures and make general adjustments in the same program. You can also set lightroom to open images you want to do more intense editing in photoshop.

2008 Sydney Motor Show

Managed to get myself to the Motor Show in Darling Harbour, was reluctent like im sure many others due to the fact that so many manufacturers didnt go. They are debating over the fact that they should have it one year in Melbourne and the other in Sydney and so on and so on. Makes sense when your spending a great deal of money on a stand but sucks for the people that like to go to it each year.

Some of the cars you tend to go and see werent there like many of the mercs, the M series bemers, RS series audi's would have been nice to see as well. Still the other big shots were there like Ferrari and Maserati.

Took many more pictures but only putting up a few, i didnt want to get those same boring shots you usually take at these kind of events so i went for a more artistic way of taking the pics, more angles, close up shots and of course some of the traditional shots thrown in there as well.

Sunday Storm

On Sunday afternoon a storm came through out of no where, the wind picked up it became cold and these dark clouds started rolling in.

So i got my camera went out side and took some pictures.......what else was i supposed to do :-).

The clouds were soooo low at one stage i think i could have thrown a rock into them.

Dusk Sky

Its been quite some time since i uploaded anything and thought it was time do at least put something up. Its not that i have stopped taking pictures or anything but just havent been posting them up here.

Any way onto the pics, yesterday [sunday] afternoon i got a little bored as the sun was going down and thought id go outside and take some pics, it was just going on dusk and the clouds were catching some of the light that was left it was quite nice.

This is what i got.

Stroll in the park

Took Sebi for a walk and thought id take the camera with me. Found a nice spot just next to my house, pictures arent as good as id like them to be. Plan to go back and try and improve them a little play around with ISO and aperture and see if i can get them any better.....part II to come soon.
